| No one tell Marty. I've always told him he looks like Matt Damon.

| Well, it's crunch time. I leave for Spain Tuesday night! I've spent the weekend packing, running errands and such. All that's left to do is get my nails done and pack up my toiletries. And decide which suitcase to take. So I'll arrive in Caceres Wednesday night and spend Thursday and Friday walking around the city and visiting people and places I love. Friday night is cocktail night at El Corral de las Ciguenas. Saturday is the wedding at la Iglesia San Juan. Then Sunday I get back to Madrid, and spend the night before my flight out back to Chicago, by way of Heathrow.
Pictures will surely be posted.

| Is it you? Noooooooooo... Is is ME? YES!!!!!! If I weren't so sick with a cold right now I would be super excited! :) I will buy my ticket tonight when I get home for Oct 2/3 through the 8th. Yay! I can't wait to revisit the city where I spent one of the best years of my life. I'm sure it will be very odd - being back there for the first time since December of 1999. I expect it will be hard in a lot of ways. But at least this time I don't think I'll have such a strong impulse to just STAY in Spain. And perhaps that in itself will be weird. I can't believe I'm going back. I wonder how much has changed in the past 8 years. It will suck having to use Euros instead of pesetas... It will suck that botellon is no longer.... It will suck that Diego's not there, and that I won't be travelling to visit him... but I'll get to see Chris & Alberto get married - further proof of happy endings... and Amy & Lucio - original proof of happy endings. And Jose Carlos... well... he's proof of the strength of hormones... Oh god.. I have to start seriously brushing up on my Spanish!
UPDATE: I am proud to announce that after three previous attempts in life, I have finally managed to buy a plane ticket to Spain and not put it on a credit card! I think I like this grown up stuff - having a job and money...
OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!
